Compared to my medium sized early 2000's European car it is still a monster But yes, sure that compared to an average 2024 american car it is small.

True ! that's why I said medium sized car. :) And I don't use it for commuting to work or go to groceries. So what's remaining needs a car with descent size and range for 2 persons. Best alternative for me would be that a fair car sharing/rental system develop even more so I can ditch my car and only rent the car size I need for the trip.
