VSCode has raised the bar of what to expect from a free IDE in terms of container integrations. JetBrains has fallen behind, and is sticking to a decade old standards. I have no problem with the paid versions of JetBrains IDEs which I think are great, but to pay, one has to first find value in the free version (which is now lacking). |
