Still waiting for theoretical physics to discard string theory, as it fails in predicting anything.

I recommend taking a listen to these podcast episodes to get an understanding of why string theory won’t be discarded anytime soon:

In this case I believe it will take a whole generation. People will have to retire before we see the mainstream openly agree that it was a failed attempt.
