Exactly. The large majority of Americans do NOT want to live in walkable cities or towns; they love using cars to get everywhere, even across the street, and get angry at any suggestions that challenge their car-based lifestyle. Car crashes are simply a necessary cost to this lifestyle that most Americans prefer. |
