My understanding is that it was actually matt who did that, and he did it so he could denounce WPEngine to their customers, due to his personal vendetta against WPEngine, because WPEngine refused his shakedown attempt for money. This is cited in WPEngine's lawsuit. Like you said, I wouldn't be surprised if this behavior of matt's was a breach. |
