I'd take a one-touch button to temporarily disable autocorrect/auto-capitalization. Either toggled or until next space. I don't usually type the "https://" part if I'm spelling out a URL, and I type many more identifiers than URLs anyhow. |

AnySoftKeyboard¹ has this²; the button disappears with the suggestions but the setting only "sticks" until you dismiss the keyboard.
