Right. It feels like conjecture built upon conjecture, I can't tell where the foundation lies. It at least needs to make some rigorous, real-world predictions we don't already have. I'm also dissatisfied with the notion of time is just "rewriting" of the hypergraph - that feels ill-defined. It borrows our intuition for flipping bits in physical memory, but what does "rewriting" actually mean in the metaphysical domain of this hypergraph? I have a lot of respect for Wolfram, but much of this feels so hand-wavy. |
