I am sympathetic. I have cystic fibrosis, as does my 25 year old son. Came up with a new mental model and treatment paradigm. Got us both off all medication and healthier than is supposed to be possible. I get called a liar, charlatan and snake oil salesman. I occasionally say to my kids "You would think they would be more receptive to one of their own. They act like nearly dying was a publicity stunt on my part, some diabolical plot to get rich." (And I am not rich. In fact, I am deeply in debt and homeless.)

I wish I had some words of wisdom for you. But that would no doubt grow out of solving this piece of the issue, and I haven't done that.
