I am working on creating a framework for statistically identifying and measuring racial disparity in the criminal justice pipeline. This involves collecting, cleaning, and merging data from various government sources such as the FBI, DOJ, prisons, police stations, Sheriff's offices, county jails, etc.

sounds great. is this data easy to come by?
Not really. The government agencies kinda make it hard on purpose to access this data. But, I am fortunate enough to be collaborating with experts who have been collecting this type of data for years.
