I had this exact same experience with Go. I picked up .Net (and Asp.Net for web stuff) on linux recently and found it to be much more easier to get started batteries included than Go. Don't need external libraries for any of the things you mentioned (ORM, logging, metrics, DI etc.). Razor pages are very interesting as well. I haven't used them enough to have a solid opinion yet but I really liked them for quick server rendered pages. |
