A lack of critical thought which causes our society to become more unequal and impoverished. People want billions not understanding (even while this was known thousands of years ago already) that having billions makes other people have nothing.

As it's already been known for such a long period of time, it might be easy to say it's on purpose, simply 'greed', but rather I think most people are simply unaware and easily distracted.

It's much simpler to chose negativity over positivity, violence over peace etc. - and so also when thinking about these topics and the 'why' one should be careful not to fall into negative thought. It's often the easy conclusion, not always the correct one.

I hope by personal agency people can slowly change this. It's a very slow process though due to various factors.

1. information wasn't always so available to people, so it's been really slow going getting good information to everyone. This is now somewhat solved, though its still hard to sift through the pile of information at peoples disposal to the good information.

2. Most behavioral patterns in humans are learned in year 0-5 of their lives, especially emotional patterns. And despite what most people believe of themselves, their emotions basically rules their behavior (it makes sense, as it's the larger part of what exists.). Due to this, as people between 0-5 are unaware of the importance of their learning, and the patterns that get conditioned onto them, there is a slow progress from generation to generation that can make improvements to this cycle of 'bad behavior'. it's hard to watch, but really the better future is for our kid's kids.
