C/C++ is like water/alcohol; certainly they look very similar to an uninvolved observer, and one can mix them easily, but they differ drastically. One is an utterly simple life substrate, another is a toxic and hallucinogenic but potent rocket fuel. For the record, Torvalds has always vehemently resisted any attempts to use C++ in the kernel. I completely support his position. |
