I wonder if we were influenced by the same things. Did you also want something to plug the lack of git features in Zed by any chance?

This is great! Thanks for sharing. I am using neovim so zed wasnt the inspo. I saw charm release a tree component and it was just what I needed for my gh-dash tool. I then thought why not make it a standalone tool
