One of the biggest problems of a scientific education is the lack of hubris taught. Science has a very clear box it works remarkably well in, but it far too often strays outside of this box. We should have been told that science is about the prediction and description of things. This is very different to what things actually are. If only scientists didn't believe from the very beginning that they were studying what reality of things are, they wouldn't spend so much time unlearning this later in life. |
