Isn't it the opposite? If they had flipped their views of electric cars based on the politics of who made them that would demonstrate they were more interested in culture wars than science or technology, but they didn't: their views on the merits of EVs remained the same. The article on the other hand is about that exact inversion happening in (parts of) Hollywood, showing that they care more about Elon's tweets than the environment. This indicates they care more about culture wars than science and technology. |

the people in the article likely care more about elon's tweets and the environment than they do about buying tesla cars. i suspect they will prefer other electric vehicles.
