I think once you get to the point where you're actively taking steps to remove the main content of a site, you might as well just stop using it.

You might as well go to Youtube with a plugin to disable all video playback, or visit a discussion board with a user stylesheet to hide all comments.

It depends on what you go on X for, I agree most people probably go on X to read some combination of politics or news but likewise I know many people like myself who just want to use it to read people talking about tech or business without all the politics BS.
