Ask HN: Any free/open source contact centre software out there?

Hi, I wonder if you peeps can help?

I would like some recommendations for some good softwares to use for a charity 'contact centre' type of thing.. Preferably free / open source (or as cheap as possible!)

We are a group of volunteer wildlife rescue volunteers and at the moment everything is mostly organized through social media, WhatsApp groups etc.

I used to work in a contact centre and I think we would really benefit from some software like you would use in a call centre would be really useful to track cases/callers and also to assign jobs to the correct people..

Some sort of knowledge base could be cool - but I guess I can just use a wiki for that..

I am reasonably IT literate.. I used to work in IT, although I am not much of a coder.. but could sort a server out/wiki etc..

Does anyone have any ideas what we could use?
