I wonder why it's taking so long to fill the position. Is it for a role that might be difficult to fill, like a specialized skillet or high amount of experience/education? Is it in a regulated industry where the hiring process takes many months? Are they low-balling salaries?

Usually I encounter recruiters when the need is urgent, so the delay seems unusual to me.
