The k8s nodes in Oracle system are shipped with SELinux (permissive mode). One of the those nodes was extremely slow and we found out it's due to SELinux . We have to completely turn SELinux off, reboot the machine, and well, our pod start time reduced from 5 minutes to a few seconds.

That much difference in boot time with no other changes would suggest to me something (or multiple somethings) calling out in a way blocked by SELinux, and timing out rather than failing quickly. You might want to check that you don't have any undesirable calling home going on from some of your containers.
