Yes; if a patient didn't [couldn't] take good care of their body to begin with, then they're punished for complaining and/or being sick. The more they lean on the PCP or psychiatrist, the more opportunities to find "treatable" disorders. It's a test of obedience and willingness to cooperate. You dutifully believe the screening tests, you fill the scrips, you take the pills, and now you're on a treadmill that is profitable for all parties except you, and you may notice that you're not healing but actually becoming sicker. |
