I don't agree with this at all. It is possible to both be in the wrong _and_ not be the villain. If I am dressed to the 9s, wearing expensive jewelry, carrying a lot of money.... and then I want down dark alleys.... and I get mugged; I am not the bad guy, the mugger is. But I'm also partially to blame, because I knowingly took actions that increased the likelihood of me being mugged. Our society has elements that will harm us. It is up to us to take action to reduce the likelihood of that happening. |
