It looks like you posted a Medium link. I believe Medium and Dev.To articles are instantly suppressed on HN because they often tend to be low quality.

That was seven years ago. I've seen enough Medium articles in the last year to know they are not automatically suppressed. Same with Dev.to

The old article might have been auto-killed because it was from a green account and had the same subdomain as the user's HN account. Back in 2017, that might have auto-killed it. Not sure it would kill it today. But it might.
