Your post wasn't banned in any way! The orange/red asterisk just means it's your own submission or comment. Everyone sees that on their own posts instead of the upvote arrow. The grey just means that you visited the URL. If you click on any other link on HN you'll see that it goes from black to grey. Since obviously you've visited your own link, that's why it started out that way. |
