When unemployment was at all time lows, I saw people on Reddit complaining that they couldn’t find a job and applied to 500 places. I have to think it’s a personal issue with some of these people. Either their standards are too high, or they have a major flaw preventing them from getting hired, which they leave out of the post (or can’t see themselves). They are also likely applying without even reading the job descriptions… spray and pray is going to get a lot of ignored and rejected applications… as it should. Reddit is not a good place if you’re depressed, or prone to it. It’s full of other depressed people and they feed on each other and validate each other, and it creates a downward spiral that’s hard to get out of. It is probably in your best interest to find other ways to fill your time. |
