Are you currently looking for a new position? Reddit is not reality, there are jobs open. It may be more difficult now than previous years but its still possible. In my own circle I know of three people, including myself, who have new SDE jobs within the last year.

If I spent too much time on Reddit it fucks with my mind as well. Take some time off social media and take care of yourself.

This. Whenever i dive into Reddit i feel shocked about what a terrible world people are living in, every aspect of their lives. Sometimes it makes sense to close that tab of doom and look out of the window and see people living normal lives.

Commenters and posters are disproportionally going to be people who spend the most time on the site - i.e. introverts and antisocials. So any anonymous social network is going to trend towards pessimism, skepticism, paranoia, etc.

Also, stay away from Team Blind. It is worse than reddit for toxic comments.
