Funny. It worked just fine when I was in college, back in 1997. You could use VNC to share either direction, or X11 to share one-way. Also SSH/SFTP, and SMB all worked. There were SFTP servers on Windows for free - you could download them off the internet and run them on Windows 95, 98, XP, etc. Moving files between devices has never been difficult. |
