Recent algorithm updates from Google have once again clarified what kind of web pages will rank at the top: those that are "useful to users"
Whether it’s content or tools, as long as they are beneficial to users and the time spent on your page per click is above a certain threshold (while avoiding fraudulent practices), your page will rank higher in search results. In this era where generative AI is becoming increasingly dominant, valuable content seems to be even more precious, and people are getting better at discerning content quality.
A webpage that covers many keywords but has low-quality content will eventually be pushed down in search results due to its lack of usefulness to users. Additionally, backlinks are akin to endorsements for a website, but no matter how many backlinks a low-quality site has, users won’t want to spend much time on it. These are just my personal thoughts, and I welcome any criticism or feedback. |
