There's an AI – No Junk, Just Gems (theresanai.com)

For the record - there is a proliferation of directories focussed on "AI Tools" recently (last 1 year). For example, you can find 35+ other websites where to submit your AI tool here https://www.saashub.com/submit/list. For of them, for example "There's An AI __For That__" have the enviable 4M monthly visits. My guess is that the author of "There's An AI" (no For That) will try to bank on some of that traffic by having almost the same brand/name (but shorter).
Quite shady indeed: https://www.saashub.com/theres-an-ai-alternatives -- see the icon, it's almost the same as https://theresanaiforthat.com/
I think naming ai directories is almost all the same way:

I can't tell if this is supposed to be satire x) "awesome list of awesome lists of AI tools"
Is anyone using Bitdefender here? Upon entering this page, I received following notification.

I think it's just a hosted version of https://plausible.io:

Okay, so it's just Bitdefender being overzealous then. Thanks!
What's an AI tool you are using everyday that is not just some LLM chat app?

I am searching for a conversational AI calendar and scheduling tool that basically does the job of a personal assistant.

Why would you want a 2D interface of a calendar replaced with a 1D interface of having to formulate language about it to look it up or edit it?
Mobility? Multitasking? Accessibility? Take your pick.
I have a mobile calendar app where I can manage ALL my tasks and commitments at a glance and it can be used with a screen reader.
Deepl and Deepl Write because I'm not a native English speaker.
I used to follow a famous photographer who wrote a lot on his blog. His writing had some grammatical problems but I loved reading his blog because even through the errors (and perhaps because of some of them), he had his own style.

He recently started using an AI app, ChatGPT or some other thing I can't remember, to correct his writing and make it into standard English. Although his grammar errors were gone, so was his unique style. The writing became flawless and boring also. I stopped reading.

People will learn the language sooner or later, I use Deepl Write less and less. You stopped reading because it's clear from your "anti-tech" blog that you're heavily biased against AI, even when it's used for accessibility.
No, just reporting my experience. I liked his original style better. Sometimes, an orange is just an orange.
Agree to disagree.
Not quite every day, but: 1. I made a slack bot that translates a text query into SQL specific to the internal database, with lots of deeper context around the data. That's often useful now for reporting. 2. I'm learning to find a sweet spot for Aider and Plandex - they can be very useful, but require some time investment to know the right scenarios. Also they require learning how to talk about code and requirements, but I take it as an incidental positive result.
I use an AI calendar and scheduling tool every day, I just built it myself using OpenAI APIs, a Slack app, and Google Calendar API. You should give it a shot yourself because it's a great way to learn to build AI apps.
I use an LLM to summarize items from RSS feeds including Hacker News and YouTube. I use an LLM to explain words and phrases to me in my language learning app.
i love that we need directories to get the best of the web: curation is what we need. i hope the people at yahoo understand this and revive their best asset :)
Sarcastic or serious?
serious. search engines are terrible and full of useless cruft, making it hard to find new content. search engines tend to create a bubble around you, reinforcing your existing preferences without ever breaking it. curation and web directories are exactly what we need for exploration, as they link to the best resources and avoid SEO spam. the site linked here is a niche example, but a good one.
Right. But you are saying this in a time of "(inferior) automated curation" to delegate intellectual work to electronic pigeons, of "(shallow) pseudo-review curation" to have site pages that are multi-product advertisements...

It is not trivial to have it, in a form that will just reflect your repulsion for other imperfect services.

The name is a prefix of the most popular website in the niche: thereisanaiforthat.com. Maybe some shady SEO tactic?

There are tons of these. Many of them are quite fishy -- they often reach out to you offering you to list your tool for a fee -- there are only a few directories where it's worth to do so.

Btw, was this supposed to be a Show HN?

Awakard at first glance I thought it said there's anal
No NovelAI for some reason.
