I'm also surprised. Here is a 3rd-party benchmark published last month using various ORMs:

we're hosted on AWS (and so is Vercel) - it could have been the region that your database was hosted?

supabase is great, not sure why it was so slow compared to neon. I assumed it was a collocation issue.
