One thing to bear in mind is that the iPhone based satellite connection is highly directional, meaning whoever is using it needs to be conscious and able to follow the on-screen instructions to align the phone with a certain point in the sky (within a few angular degrees.) Whereas, in contrast, the Garmin inReach devices need "only" a clear sky view. |
