As I understand, housekeeping is instructed to look around the room to see if a bunch of guns are lying around. This is a result of the incident that happened there in 2017, where there were two dozen guns in a hotel room, unnoticed, because housekeeping respected the do not disturb sign indefinitely. Housekeeping is neither trained nor spending time to performing a deep search of anyone’s room. But they do know what a pile of guns look like, and they’re instructed to escalate the situation to their superiors if they discover it. |
