I’m 40. I was addicted in college to the video game du jour, logging 400 days in game by the time I graduated, so about 7 hours per day over 4 years. Difference is, my parents gave me space to figure things out, which I did after logging a couple of C’s one semester.

I’m now a PhD with a wife, kids, and a comfy Big Tech job. 3.0 GPA is not the kind of kid I expect to crash and burn like some of my friends. You need to loosen the leash.
