I am with you. I pay for software because it just works and solves a problem and I can justify the cost.

1password iCloud 200GB Jetbrains Full Suite

I've been using these for more than 10 years. From the time they were pay per version (excluding iCloud of course) till they become subscription. They just make my problem go away so I just pay for it.

I am sure I can string together open source and free version but I just don't have the time and energy to wire them together and maintain them.

I also know Apple is offering their own "cross" platform password manager but at this point, I don't feel like moving off 1pass.

Thanks, yeah it does sound like we share the same thoughts regarding paying for solutions that just work

I'm resistant to moving over to Apple because of pure vendor lock in, but also I can decouple passwords from my Apple ID. For example, I use a mac for work but I don't need to sign in to my personal apple id on my work laptop to get access to passwords.
