The article says 5-15% report sexual dysfunction while on SSRIs but doesn’t report on the opposite: how many have improved sexual function. It tries to correlate the drop in fertility rates since 1970 with the rise in SSRI prescriptions; however, it doesn’t seem to address the regular availability, reduced stigma, and increased use of birth control. To name a few. —- I take them. It has definitely blunted my emotions, but in the way it was intended. It has NOT at all had any other negative effects after more than a decade of use. I’d like to see less scary hypotheticals, more true modeling, and a look at the inverse of these claims; but, that won’t serve as an interesting click-worthy article. |
