This disproportionately affects independent news organizations; "Big News" like CBC gets billions of dollars a year in funding from the federal government. So, lobbying to pass this Bill C-18 allows CBC, etc. to entrench their total control over media in Canada, extinguishing all independent media. The system is working as intended. |
