I often hesitate to chime in on a discussion like this, because my response is based on Myers-Briggs Type Indicators, and a surprisingly large number of people consider the MBTI as useless and lacking scientific foundation. Regardless, here is my response to someone making this exact same complaint on reddit: http://www.reddit.com/r/INTP/comments/sqhxw/motivation_and_o... I always recommend that everyone find out their personality type by taking one of these MBTI-like tests. I see too many of these posts that have people feeling down on themselves for reasons that amount to not understanding who they are and what the benefits and challenges of it are.
