Absolutely. I used to drive by a beach on the way to work. I regularly saw a man sweeping the sand off the sidewalk. He looked to be a city employee. Maintenance is always needed.

My hope is either to make it fun enough that people want to do it a few hours a week just to contribute back to others, or find a payment scheme that doesn’t lead to little kings trying to rule everyone.

My local janitor sits in a small car with brushes underneath that do the sweeping.

He looks like he doesn't want to do it. But he complains a lot in general.

But I imagine it is marginally more fun inside a small car.

He gets the sweeping done 10 times faster.
