We helped create them, and we use them as a strategic base of operations inside of an ally country in the Middle East. We built the architecture they use to exert influence over our lawmakers. There's significant sunken cost to disrupting that relationship, and Israel throws a huge fit whenever we fail to give them what they ask for. |
