Because folks don't take you seriously otherwise. The barrier to entry to everything nowadays is "how many followers do you have" or something of that sort. And I don't want to play the game of making content for the sake of it, making content to impress people. I want to make what I want to make, the things I love, the things that excite me in the first place, otherwise what's the point. Yeah I've had therapy. My mental health is a ton better than it used to be. It's how I could even be pursuing the things I'm pursuing now. It just gets especially hard when I'm trying to make things happen and it feels like there's so much holding me back. |

This is surprising to me. I don’t want to presume but I wonder if part of the pain you’re feeling is induced by the environment you’re in.
