Risotto in Italian cooking definitely uses buttoer. But, I already know what your reply will be: "Oh, that's Northern Italian cooking -- it doesn't count." Most normie readers don't care about that distinction. Japanese izakayas frequently sell grilled items wrapped in foil that is swimming in butter.
