It's not SEO (at least, not primarily). Blogs moved to centralized sites (Facebook, etc) for the advantages of centralization like ease of discussion and discoverability. Blogs "died" because decentralization is inefficient, even though decentralization has some nice properties. (And blogs aren't dead, they still exist. Just with very little traffic and engagement, relatively speaking) |
