We are building kit cars and plan to develop a car we can homologate. The usability of controls are something we have been thinking about for a while. It's interesting that a user operation manual is required from manufacturers here in Canada but i'm not sure how frequently new car buyers familiarize themselves with the operation. The people I speak with want physical controls without touch screens. One thing the article mentions is that customers are bringing their vehicles back to dealerships i'm not sure if this is to return them or not.
