Somewhat related. I'm annoyed when people complain about their workload.

Staffing is a management problem. If you don't have the budget to hire people, just do your best and let the work pile up. It's literally not your problem.

The worst thing you can do is to go "above and beyond", not only do you burn out but you're signaling to management that your workload is fine. Because all most people see is the bottom line -- is xyz task done or not.

And companies seem to rarely even recognize when someone is going above and beyond anymore

Forget actually rewarding it, they won't even acknowledge it, to them it's just what they expect
