What is a reasonable timescale? They last released an update for Sublime Merge in April. What features are you missing that they haven't added? What bugs are present that need to be fixed?

I'm a paying user. The ability to diff across two commits/branches. I still have to flip over to GitHub if I want that kind of view.
I use SM (and paid). Just select both commits, regardless of branch, and the diff is shown.

The last news on the website is from 2022. Is there another place to see updates? Because I too had all sublime tools as "abandoned" in my mind.
The download page have decent release cycle.

Its mature software that doesn't require a constant churn of bug fixes and updates, that's not a bad thing.

They might want to consider posting those on the news site then. Because it looks abandoned
