As the employer, of course you want someone with passion for your business. But I think the point of the article is that the question "why do you want to work here?" is so cliche that it doesn't work anymore. Candidates just embellish the answer that they have prepared and even memorized, when not straight lie, like the "name 3 weaknesess" nobody is going to answer in full truth. Want to check for passion for sports? Initiate an almost casual conversation about sports, and you will learn if the candidate is passionate or not. |
