It's not just their TV software either: They offer their service for free on Delta flights, but when I tried it on a US-domestic flight I had to restart a single episode of Star Trek about 5 times because it would cut out with an error saying I was in Canada and couldn't watch the show there. If you're going to use airplanes as a marketing technique, you probably should be relatively confident that your geolocation system isn't going to go haywire when someone is using airplane wifi and trample all over those prospective customers. |
