A more constrained test might be justifiable on an interview, but it's got to be clear that it still doesn't directly translate to on-the-job skills. This might be more of a question about what you expect from a "junior developer" role; are they building skills at a cost to the business, like a student or intern, or doing the best they can do to justify a paycheck? |
