My battery life has been utterly wrecked. I just checked & I lost 25% in 4 hours doing basically nothing.

I'm trying to disable as many of these new AI systems as I can. It feels like when Apple secretly artificially slowed down old phones to incentivize upgrades, except Samsung is speeding them up to make it seem like the batteries are all going.

I'd been very happy with my S22 but now I am suffering chronic battery anxiety. I slow charge most of the time & use battery care to 80% and almost never used to go below 20%. This thing has been well cared for. Yet things very suddenly got real bad. Android sint fingering any apps as responsible for the massively faster draw. I don't know how to get better data, but it sure seemed to have corresponded with the upgrade, and I can only assume it's AI stuff.

You can easily turn off Ai under settings. I have deep slept most unused apps. And set thr processing speed to optimized. Battery is going pretty solid, lasts a full day at 85% charge.

Also try resetting app settings. if something is draining in the background, that could help.

I've found like three things to turn off. Finding one was easy. But to root around looking for things to turn off is not hard but time consuming & elaborate.

Here's the eight step process to turn off Voice assistant and that seems like just one measure. https://www.tomsguide.com/how-to/how-to-stop-your-android-ph...

Battery drain hasnt been night & day different since starting to disable stuff. It's just unclear what is and isn't actually disabled.
