Ask HN: Any recipe sites that start with the recipe?
2 points by robinyapockets 726 days ago
All recipe sites typically force me to scroll through dozens of paragraphs and endless ads before arriving at the actual recipe.

Searching on mobile typically makes this experience worse with all the pop ups.

Does anyone know of recipe sites that provide the recipe and cooking instructions without the history lessons of each ingredient?

If youre looking for a wide variety of general recipes, allrecipes.com is a good resource. Getting to the recipes can be chore sometimes due to a lot of SEO style lists. Once you find a recipe, it's there without a long history. The recipes have a short description at the top, but no longwinded stories.
I have a recipe extractor script from somewhere.

This is similar as it didn’t work at first try for some reason. Maybe legal issues, site issues, or idk.
