So basically the elites are using the internet to control (feeding) the starving folk. No internet means less control. Brings them closer to the starving folks level, more chance of actually being a "people's republic" then.
There's not much government worth salvaging in that country, basically an army. The only loss would be them improving their security now. Other world governments may have left that vulnerability untouched purely in case they need to use it at a later stage. |
